Going Out

Indigo Restaurant, Rosendale Road, West Dulwich

I went out for dinner with friends to Indigo last night. A mum from school was having a party upstairs at The Rosendale so we decided to join up for a quick meal before the party. The restaurant didn’t take our order for about half an hour and I thought that didn’t bode well. I was right because the food took so long to arrive. As we asked the waiter to check where our order was, we looked around and no-one else had their food either. It did eventually arrive and it was delicious. I had Lamb Tikka from the Grill, Bhindi Bhaji and a Peshwari Nan. If we didn’t have a party to go to we would have been perfectly happy as the surroundings were very pleasant, the staff were great and the food, when it arrived was excellent. I will try it again when I’m not in a rush.

Day Trip to Hampton Court Palace

We drove to Hampton Court with Grandma and Grandpa on Thursday of half term. When we got there we saw these dressed up people. Four of them were fools, one of them was the owner of the fools, two of them were ladies- in-waiting, three of them were the king’s beasts and one of them was Henry VIII. The dressed up people took us round. First into the kitchen and there was a real fire. We had to follow some of the fools as they went into the courtyard. We saw one of them emptying the night-water (wee!) onto somebody’s head down below.

My favourite bit of the day was when the fools did the dancing because it was quite good although I didn’t like the music. My worst part of the day was when I was really hungry. My sister’s favourite bit was the maze. We went inside and kept going round and round but couldn’t find the entrance because we kept going round and round the same place. She says we finally got to the beginning and went straight on the other way and found the middle.
